Smokelife

SmokeLife is a collaborative project, conceived by Nigel “Golgot” Couldrey & Andy “Smiffy” Smith. SmokeLife is not a typical DJ pairing, but rather profess to being a community of dubstep, techno, reggae, jungle and other subculture music, where ongoing projects with the likes of Dr Meaker, Confusion, Madgik, Tekton, Oscar Massive Hands and others are frequent.

Nigel hails from Belgium, and over the years has found his way to the Bristol dubstep scene, a pionerring mess of beautiful and twisted music, which Andy has been immersed in since birth..... Both hosting rooms at the same techno event in Easton, Nigel and Andy's SmokeLife ideology was conceived.

SmokeLife is not limited to just music production and 'djing', rather a vehicle for like minded artists and musicians to collaborate under new and exciting projects. 

Hosting events throughout Bristol, including a string of successful nights at the Tube, featuring Elemental, Eskmo, Hektagon, Clouds, JazzSteppa, Wascal amongst others and taking musical influence from techno and electro sounds of Belgian, and mixing with Bristol dub, drum and bass and more recently the rapidly developing dubstep scene. 

SmokeLife are gearing up to tackle live music and creative venue events, where they plan on showcasing their own unique tweak on what music could be, and presented with a varied twist. 

Describing their sound as 

'12% beer with a rum and ginger, and a massive spliff'

these boys will keep your heads nodding, and are a thing to be heard.
