Amir admits to being a late bloomer with skating, only picking up a board at 17 years. He saw many of his friends on their way to jail, or ‘pram land’ and decided that was not for him. So he grabbed a deck, found a car park and the rest is history. However what he missed then, he has certainly made up for now with style and determination.

Amir admits to being a competition monster and being one of the old headz in Brighton has given him lots of experience here. He won the Level Skate Jam 4 years ago before it shut shop, and then in 2007 when the event relaunched with an air of expectation, he came back and stomped another win.

I started when I was 17 , a bit of a late bloomer. Music that was much much later. 

EARLY YEARS, WHY DID YOU GET INTO WHAT YOU DO?

Coz all my mates was on there way to jail or pram land, s a mate and me got a board each an started to goose around in car parks as you do. And it went from there. I'm the last of my crew in B Town there are lots of young heads busting so it lives on ha ha ha skating is amazing.

Skating Yo an making beats.

 Fresh cuts beat making an old movie flicks.

FAVORITE TRICK?

360 flip or redrum flip I like all tricks that are dope.

Jazz, HipHop, Soul, Funk, Indian Chill Out Sounds.

I like all but I am a comp beast, I love comps im hooked.

STREET OR RAMPS?

All its all dope, but i did start on ramps but street is just as good.

FILMING PROJECTS?

 I'm doing a few bits and bobs, like the Brighton DVD an Anndy E new DVD should be getting dun soon too.

WHAT ARE YOUR AIMS FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS?

Just get into Mags go to all the comps, skate as much as i can, plus rep AVALAAN as much as I can.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?

In the Vegi shop keeping it real. Na hope im still crewzing around, running my mini team. I got some tings in my head for when im older Ha, older ah ha ha ha.
