HUCK talks to the Avalaan Familia artist, 45RPM, about collage, taxidermy and going big on walls... 45RPM is a member of the What collective who are part of Bristol’s vibrant art scene. Sketchbooks are integral to his work: he uses them to store odd items, which he collects day-to-day and then integrates in to his drawings, creating interesting juxtapositions. “Chalk and cheese is my drawing style” he says. “Messy old backgrounds with clean lines… I sketch until I hate 5 things I have drawn, but love one.” Huck magazine caught up with 45RPM to find out (amongst other things...) what we all really want to know... Why birds!? 'HUCK: Birds feature quite a lot in your work. What is it you like about them? Read the rest of the interview HERE |
